However, we also recognize that despite the best-laid plans, unforeseen circumstances may necessitate changes or cancellations to your travel arrangements. With this in mind, we have carefully devised a cancellation policy that is intended to be both clear and flexible while allowing us to maintain the level of service excellence that our clients expect. Below, you will find comprehensive details about the specific policies related to cancellations, modifications, and refund processes, segmented according to the two types of services we provide: Regular Shared Tours and Private Custom Travel Itineraries. Cancellation Policy for Regular Shared Tours

Our Regular Shared Tours include popular destinations such as Teotihuacan, Basilica de Guadalupe, Tlatelolco, Xochimilco, Coyoacán, UNAM, Estadio Azteca, Puebla & Cholula, Taxco & Cuernavaca, among others. These tours operate on a scheduled basis, and cancellation policies are established to ensure that we can efficiently manage bookings while giving other travelers the opportunity to participate in these highly sought-after experiences.

Advance Notice for Cancellations:

  • Cancellation: To receive a full refund, you must submit your cancellation request no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of your tour. This timeframe allows us the necessary time to adjust our arrangements and offer the vacated spot to other potential travelers.

  • Modification: Should you need to modify your reservation (e.g., changing the tour date or time), we kindly ask that you contact us at least 24 hours in advance of the tour’s start. We will strive to accommodate your request based on availability at the time, though we cannot guarantee the ability to fulfill all modification requests due to operational constraints.

Refund Process:

Upon receiving your request for cancellation or modification, we will initiate the refund process as quickly as possible. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of booking. However, please note that depending on your financial institution, the refunded amount may take 5-7 business days to reflect in your account.

Late Cancellations:

Cancellations that are made within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time are non-refundable. This policy is in place because the short notice provided does not allow us sufficient time to offer your spot to other travelers or adjust our tour operations accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these terms.

Exceptional Circumstances:

In cases where unforeseen circumstances arise that are beyond our control (e.g., inclement weather, political disturbances, or other significant disruptions), and these circumstances prevent us from conducting the tour as scheduled, we will work with you to either reschedule the tour or offer a refund. The safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our guests remain our highest priority.

Cancellation Policy for Private Custom Travel Itineraries

At Teo Mexico Tours by Depetrini (Depetrini Serviços LTDA), we understand that sometimes plans change unexpectedly. However, given the custom nature of our Private Travel Itineraries, cancellations may result in charges to cover the costs that we have already incurred on your behalf. These charges are necessary because the organization of such custom itineraries involves the pre-booking of various services, such as transportation, accommodations, guides, and entry tickets, all of which are subject to the policies of third-party suppliers.

General Cancellation Terms:

  • 30 days or more before departure: The loss is limited to the deposit only.
  • 15-29 days before departure: You will be charged 30% of the total tour cost*.
  • 7-14 days before departure: You will be charged 50% of the total tour cost*.
  • 6 days or fewer before departure: You will be charged 80% of the total tour cost*.
  • 48 hours or fewer before departure: You will be charged 100% of the total tour cost*.

* If the deposit exceeds the stated percentage of the total tour cost, the deposit amount will be retained.

Submission of Cancellation Requests:

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by the person who made the original booking. These requests should be sent directly to your contact at our company, with a copy also forwarded to [your email]. Once we receive your written request, we will confirm the cancellation and process any applicable refunds according to the timeline outlined above.

No Refunds for Unused Services:

After the tour has commenced, we regret that no refunds will be issued for any unused portions of the tour, including but not limited to transportation, guides, and pre-arranged activities. If you choose to make changes to your itinerary after the tour has started or decide to leave the tour early, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of these changes. Please ensure that any such changes or early departures are communicated to us in writing.


Hotel Cancellation and Refund Policy

For hotel bookings, the cancellation policies are largely governed by the individual hotel’s own terms and conditions. While we handle the hotel arrangements on your behalf, please be aware that cancellations are subject to the specific rules of the hotel in question. These rules may vary depending on factors such as the timing of your cancellation and any special terms agreed upon at the time of booking.

Whenever possible, we will make every effort to negotiate a refund or secure a credit for future stays. However, we must emphasize that these refunds or credits are ultimately contingent on the hotel’s own policies. In some cases, the hotel may allow us to reschedule your booking or provide alternative solutions. Should such opportunities arise, we will discuss them with you and make every effort to find a satisfactory resolution.

Unused Hotel Nights:

If your cancellation results in any unused hotel nights, we will attempt to rebook or find an alternative arrangement. However, as with the refund process, this is entirely dependent on the hotel’s policies and the specific conditions of your booking.
